At FrontPorch, choosing green is about more than reducing your carbon footprint—it is about embracing a healthier and more beautiful way of life.
FrontPorch strives to be on the cutting edge of the “green” movement and energy efficiency. In addition to this, we create homes that serve our client‘s families for many years while having as minimal an impact on the environment as possible.
All of our custom and semi-custom homes meet EarthCraft certification standards. There are also a multitude of opportunities to create a healthier and more energy efficient home that can be included in your renovation.
After many months of planning, development, construction, and filming we are so excited to share with you that the HGTV Green Home 2012 Special aired this past spring on the HGTV network!
During the showcase, co-hosts took viewers on a visual tour of the home while the house planner and designer shared tips about the eco-chic residence's green construction and design.
Located in the idyllic, sustainable community of Serenbe in Chattahoochee Hills, GA, the home is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom modern Southern farmhouse built by FrontPorch. The home highlights a new dimension of green living that the network was thrilled to present.
Check out FrontPorch’s own Curtis Peart as he discusses the advantages of a “greener approach to framing” as used in the construction of the HGTV Green Home 2012:
FrontPorch is very proud to have been an integral part of the creation of the HGTV Green Home 2012. We would like to thank the team at HGTV, Kemp Hall Studio, Serenbe, our subcontractors, and staff for all of their hard work on this unique project.
